Elite starts on March 2
Elite is designed for High School, and upper Middle School NCW wrestlers who want to take their wrestling to the next level. All wrestlers must be evaluated for ability before participating. Practices run about (3) times a week early March through June and cost is $350. Each person must purchase his own USA wrestling card before practicing. Those qualified who have interest should send an email to info@nashvillecatholicwrestling.com, to receive a registration form. For those who have need, financial assistance may be available.
There is a practice today (Sunday Feb. 9) at 4:30 pm for both Club and Middle School.
The tournament schedule for tomorrow is as follows:
Morning Session: Tots, Bantams and Juniors: Weigh-in 7:00-8:00am – Wrestle at 9:00am
Afternoon Session: Middle School and Midgets: 12:00-1:00pm – Wrestle at 2:00pm
*Weigh-ins will be done in singlets with a one-pound allowance only.
Wrestlers not making registered weight must pay an additional $20 for a bump up & bracket change.

Father Ryan in State Duals Final
The Father Ryan Irish wrestling team won both their quarterfinal and semifinal matches on Friday, and will wrestle Baylor of Chattanooga Saturday night February 1 for the D-II State Title.
The Irish have been good to NCW so if you want to cheer them on and see some great wrestling, the match begins at 7:00 pm at the Williamson County Ag Center in Franklin. The team is comprised mainly of young men who got their start with NCW. Come early if interested. Note this is a TSSAA event and parking is $5 and there is a $10 per person entry fee.
Middle School and Club practice Sunday
There is a Middle School and Club practice today (Jan 26) at 4:30 pm at Father Ryan for those who can attend.
The NCW Middle School team will wrestle against the MBA Middle School team tomorrow, January 21, 2014 at 4:30 at Montgomery Bell Academy. All 6th-8th graders that practice weekly with the NCW Middle School team should be there by 4:30.
The NCW Club and Middle School team will practice on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Club will practice from 5:30 – 6:30 and MS will practice from 5:30 – 7:00.
Sign-ups for Saturday’s AAU tournament at Wilson Central High School will be Wednesday night at practice. Schedule for Saturday is as follows:
Tots and Midgets: check in – 7:30 – 8 AM Wrestle at 9:00AM Bantam and Juniors: check in – 11:00 – 11:30 Wrestle at 12:30PM
Middle School: check in – 2:30 – 3:30 Wrestle at 4:00PM
This tournament will be a 4 to 5 man round robin format. Please note that there will be no onsite weigh ins – you will be registered by actual weight and rank. Saturday there will be a check in and skin check, then wrestle.
