Club begins / Middle School Matches this week
A reminder the Club season (K-8) begins this Sunday December 1 with sign-ups and first practice.
Congrats to the NCW Middle School team who placed second in the tough Golden Cross Duals in Ohio. NCW beat powerhouses Moeller, La Salle, and St. Edward before losing to Graham in the final.
There are (2) Middle School matches this week. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 5:00 at Tullahoma for a tri or quad and Thursday, Dec. 5, 4:00 at Brentwood Academy. A reminder there is no tournament on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The following wrestlers must be on weight and are going Wednesday to Tullahoma. Address is 301 West Decherd Street, 37388 and weigh-ins at 5:00 pm:

NCW Middle School Schedule this week
For those in town the Middle School team will practice Wednesday Nov 27 9:00 am – noon, and Friday Nov 29 9:00 am to noon. There will be no practice Wednesday night.
On Friday afternoon the following wrestlers (must make weight) will meet at Father Ryan and leave promptly at 4:00 pm on a team bus for Golden Cross Duals in Cincinnati on Saturday:

Wrestler’s rooms are provided and they will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express located at 5505 Rybolt Road, Cincinnati OH 45248, & phone is (513)574-6000. For parents driving up on their own and taking their son with them, or having their son stay with them in their own hotel room, please contact Coach Gorham at 615-319-3038 ASAP. Weigh-ins at are 10:00 am Saturday with wresting to start at noon.
Also make note the tournament the following weekend on Dec 7 is canceled.

NCW Club team starts this Sunday December 1 at 4:30 pm
The NCW Club team begins with an informational meeting, signups and practice this Sunday December 1 at 4:30 in the Father Ryan wrestling room. No experience is necessary and “Club” is designed for boys K–8 to learn the basics of wrestling. Registration forms can be found on the main page or in the link below. Cost is $150.00 and there are available tournaments, where boys wrestle others their size and age group. Practices will be Sunday 4:30 – 6:30 pm, Monday 5:30 – 7:15 pm and Wednesday 5:30 – 7:15 pm. If your son participates in other sports, they are welcome to come when they can.
NCW Match canceled for Thursday Nov 21
We are sorry for the late notice but due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s match (Thursday November 21) at Father Ryan has been canceled. Please forward this news to others who may not receive these emails.
Next Middle School match is this Sunday vs. the Wave from Memphis. All Middle School wrestlers should attend and weigh-ins at 1:00 pm and wrestling at 2:00. For those interested there will be Mass at noon in the Wrestling Room.
All wrestlers bring singlets to practice Wed Nov 20 / Upcoming matches
Important: All Middle School wrestlers should bring their singlets to practice on Wednesday November 20. We will gather them up and return them to each wrestler before the MBA match next day.
The time for the NCW/MBA match on Thursday has been moved up due to the Purple / White match at Father Ryan. All NCW Middle School wrestlers must be at Father Ryan at 4:00 pm, but do not have to be on weight. Again singlets will be returned before the match.
On Sunday our NCW Middle School will wrestle the Christian Brothers Wave Club from Memphis. For those interested, there will be a Mass at noon in the Wrestling room. Weigh-ins will be at 1:00 and wrestling begins at 2:00 pm. There will be (3) mats as Father Ryan will be wrestling Christian Brothers same time, and will be held in the Father Ryan gym. All NCW Middle School wrestlers should get a match, but do not have to be on weight. There will be concessions, and since this is a Father Ryan match there will be an admission charge except for wrestlers. There will not be NCW practice Sunday afternoon.
