Nashville Catholic Wrestling

The Father Ryan Wrestling Banquet is open to all NCW 8th graders and their families. It is scheduled for Tuesday March 11, at 6:00 pm in the Father Ryan Dining Hall. This is a “coat and tie” event and the pre-paid cost is $20 per person (wrestlers too). You must RSVP to Kathy Eckhart at keckhart3@gmail.com before Wednesday March 5. Checks should be made out to Nashville Catholic Wrestling and given to your Coach at practice this week.

Also we still have spots available for our advanced Middle School wrestlers in the upcoming “Elite” group. The start of Elite has been pushed back one week, as we cannot use the Father Ryan facilities until Sunday March 9. Elite is for the advanced wrestler, and all boys must be evaluated for participation. If you are interested and haven’t already, please email info@nashvillecatholicwrestling.com for more details. Registration and first practice is at 4:00 Sunday March 9. Remember all wrestlers must purchase their own USA wrestling card before participating.

A reminder to all parents of 8th grade Middle School wrestlers they should meet tonight (Wed Feb. 26) at 5:30 pm with Coach Simpson at Father Ryan.

Congratulations to the many NCW alumni wrestlers who helped bring home the TSSAA Team State Championship for Father Ryan this past weekend. Placers from Father Ryan include Eli King – 1st, Trey Chalifoux – 3rd, Jared Frazier – 3rd, Kirby Simpson – 2nd, Christopher Wesnofske – 1st, Michael Eckhart – 2nd, Ryan Simpson – 2nd, Marcello Morrice– 2nd, Nick Naughton – 2nd, John Hagey – 1st, Hunter Duff – 4th, Houston Hooker – 4th, and Ben Stacey – 3rd. The entire team worked hard this season and we are so proud of all of you!

NCW Middle School and Club practice on Sunday February 16 is canceled.
