Nashville Catholic Wrestling

Thanks to all who donated drinks and helped with the Father Ryan Invitational this weekend. It was a great tourney and NCW was a huge help.

Important*** All (NCW) Nashville Catholic wrestlers (Club and Middle School) have a match on Wednesday January 13 in the Father Ryan wrestling room starting at 4:30 pm and going until 6:45 pm. This will take the place of the scheduled practice and we will wrestle the Fairview Club, grades K-8. All wrestlers should plan to attend and boys will be matched up as there will be no weigh ins Wednesday. NCW wrestlers are invited to stay and watch the Father Ryan varsity match vs Fairview in the main gym at 7:00 pm.

A reminder the annual Father Ryan Invitational is this weekend Jan 8-9. We need NCW Club and Middle School families to help by providing (1) case of Gatorade or (1) case of soft drinks for the Hospitality room. Please bring them to the Coaches office in the wrestling room at practice this Wednesday Jan 6. We are also in need of bottled water so if you have some strong backs bring a case or two of water as well.

All Club and Middle School wrestlers are invited to wear their NCW gear and receive free admittance to the tournament. Middle School wrestlers are encouraged to help with “towel tapping” during the matches and should check in with Father Ryan coaches.

Father Ryan provides the use of their facilities and is very good to us, and this is our chance to give back. There is a basketball tournament going on at Father Ryan High School, they have asked us to NOT prop open the door into the facility.

Someone at the tournament in Christian County may have picked up a warm up jacket by mistake. Please check the name in your jacket and return it to practice if you have one that does not belong to you.

Middle school practice 5:30 – 7:15 and Club practice 5:30 – 6:45

The address is for the tournament at Christian County High School is, 220 Glass Ave, Hopkinsville KY 42240. Basically 24W, exit onto the Pennyrile Pkwy, exit 9 off of the Pennyrile. Takes about 1 hour 20 min. Arrive by 8:30. Wrestling will begin around 10 or before.

Reminder, anyone who comes to practice in the wrestling room with the NCW team must have turned in the registration form with payment and concussion form. Middle school registration covers the middle school season and AAU season. Club registration covers the AAU season. We are not able to register anyone for tournaments that we do not have forms and payment on file. The forms can be found under the documents section on the bottom right side of the home page.
