Hello Parents,

Welcome to NCW Crumbsnatchers 2020-2021 Season!

Happy New Year!
We hope that everyone remained healthy and safe during this Covid-19 pandemic. We are excited about the season!

Read all information below.

Season
We will begin NCW Crumbsnatchers on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 5:30pm at Father Ryan High School. Crumbsnatchers will practice for one hour. At this time, practice will be every Tuesday. This is to ensure we can remain Covivd-19 free . We will safely phase in the additional practice day in the weeks ahead.

As we embark on this new season, we will follow the CDC’s recommendations. We have implemented some changes.

1. Parents will not be allowed in the gym or school facilities. We are asking that you remain in your car.

2. Every child will have their temperature checked at the door. If the child’s temperature is above or equal to 100.4, we will ask that you return home and consult your child’s physician.

3. If your child is not feeling well, we ask that your child stay home.

Wrestlers will be required to wear a mask to enter, practice and departing the wrestling room. We will practice with no contact/no partners, solo drilling, conditioning, etc. Wrestling with a partner is scheduled to begin soon. All wrestlers will need to bring a water bottle. Please complete Screen & Go prior to each practice. A screenshot of the confirmation page will need to be shown at the side door of the wrestling room prior to entering the building. Registration
Registration will be completed online this year. All forms need to be completed. COVID waiver, Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest forms need to be reviewed by BOTH parent and wrestler. Registration fee is $250.00. All payments can be made via cash or check. If paying via check, make your check payable to Nashville Catholic Wrestling. AAU Card

Hello Parents,

Yesterday, we were notified that one of the wrestlers tested positive for Covid-19. The wrestler and his family are currently in quarantine. NCW immediately went into protocols for contact tracing all wrestlers and family members that were involved directly and indirectly with this wrestler. We have spoken with wrestlers and parents that are a part of the contact tracing and ask for them to be quarantine over the next five (5) days. We also notified the proper staff to ensure all wrestlers are safe and the wrestling room be sanitized with proper equipment to eliminate the spread of Covid-19. We will stay in direct contact with all wrestlers and family members during this time to ensure there are no new positive cases of Covid-19. We will continue to follow all protocols set out by Father Ryan High School and CDC’s recommendations regarding Covid-19.

Due to our team traveling and participating in tournaments (past and present) , we have decided to be proactive and cancel wrestling practice for the upcoming weeks. We will resume wrestling practice starting the week of January 4, 2021 at 5:30pm.

We have a dual meet with Dickson County this Thursday, 12/17/20. The meet will be held at Burns Middle School, 88 Bobcat Trail, Burns, TN 37029. Weigh-ins will be at 5 PM. If your child cannot attend, please let us know by Wednesday at noon. Coach contact is Cole Moseley 615-521-9089. We have put together an extra gear sale with items we have in the office. All items are first-come, first-served. The quantity listed in parentheses is the number we have available. Some items we only have one of. We will do our best to update and remove items as they are sold. All form responses are timestamped. Should an item that is no longer available be requested we will use the timestamp and contact you if it was already sold. Please bring exact cash or check made out to Nashville Catholic Wrestling to practice in order to receive your item(s).

The TNAAU Top 100 at Gatlinburg is December 12, 2020 at Rocky Top Sports World (1870 Sports World Blvd., Gatlinburg, TN 37738). Nashville Catholic will be providing a coach for the Middle School wrestling session only that begins at 5 PM on 12/12/20. If you would like your wrestler to participate in another age division you will be responsible for providing a coach for your child. Please complete the information on the google form so we can register your wrestler (LINK: https://forms.gle/4eLn3wwXjvPT1pkz5). The google form needs to be completed by Monday, December 7, 2020, at 10:00 AM. We will register wrestlers at that time. Please read the additional tournament information below:

COVID GUIDELINES WILL BE FOLLOWED: Everyone in the building will have to wear a mask and have their Temp checked each time before entering the facility. Only time a mask is not required is when the athletes are wrestling or when a person is Officiating. All wrestlers who are not on the mat wrestling must have a mask on.
Medals: 1st through 4th place finishers in each division, to 6th on 16 or 32 man brackets.
Most outstanding wrestler awards for each division (criteria announced in coaches meeting)

NCW Middle School Families,

Great job to those wrestlers that were able to attend the Panther Prowl in Alabama this past Saturday. It was great to see the boys back on the mat and thank you to families that came down.

We have a Dual vs Brentwood Academy on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. The dual is at Brentwood Academy (219 Granny White Pike, Brentwood)

• Weigh-in is at 4:00 PM.
  *Please make sure wrestlers and parents have a mask. Wrestlers will not need to wear a mask when wrestling.

We will have a Zoom session for the first 15 minutes of practice tomorrow, 11/30/2020 for parents to get a glimpse into the wrestling room. Parents, please make sure that your Zoom display name has, at minimum, your last name listed. Only parents with wrestlers at practice will be allowed in from the Zoom waiting room so we will need to see your display name to let you in.
