Congratulations to all NCW wrestlers yesterday at the Region Tournament. Due to your hard work and dedication the NCW Middle School placed first in Region 3. Thank you to the Father Ryan High School coaches who came out to support and help coach our team!

State Championship
March 6, 2021

All Tot and Bantam wrestlers that participated in the Region tournament are eligible to wrestle in the State Tournament. Midget, Junior and Middle School wrestlers that placed fourth or higher are eligible to wrestle at the State Tournament. All wrestlers must wrestle the same weight and division they wrestled in the Region Tournament. If your child is going to participate in the State Tournament please complete the Google form by Monday, 3/1/21 at 9 AM. We will register all NCW wrestlers that time. Weigh-Ins:
Friday, 3/5/21, 6-9 PM – Holiday Inn Express – 826 S. Cumberland Street, Lebanon, TN 37087
AAU card, singlet and mouthpiece (if you have braces) are required during weigh-in
ALL wrestlers must weigh-in at this time. TNAAUs goal is to promote a safe environment for all wrestlers. For this reason, TNAAU will not permit any form of weight cutting. The following rules will be strictly enforced at weigh-ins. There will be no check scales at TNAAU weigh-in location. No weight cutting activities such as running, spitting, wearing sauna suits, etc… will be not permitted. Any wrestler found doing so will be immediately disqualified from the tournament. Once a wrestler steps on the scale their weigh-in is complete. If the wrestler is overweight, they can challenge by immediately moving to a second ‘challenge’ scale at the weigh-in site. The lesser of the two weights will be entered as the official weight; no further weigh-ins will be permitted. If the wrestler is overweight for their registered weight class, they WILL BE SCRATCHED. NO BUMPS.

Event Schedule:
Tots, Bantam, Midget: wrestling begins at 8:00 AM, doors open at 7:00 AM
Junior & Girls: wrestling begins at 1:00 PM
Middle School: wrestling begins at 6 PM (Depending on participation these start times may change. If they do change each participant will be sent an email.)

Admission: At Gate – $15 adults, $8 children (3-12 years old)

We will have a space setup on Saturday for NCW families to gather and provide snacks for wrestlers. Please sign-up to bring an item to share with the team. Please remember to bring your own chairs, there will not be any bleachers provided.

We hope you all have been enjoying the winter weather and staying safe and warm! Please make sure to read the entire email with practice updates at the end. The TNAAU Region 3 Championship is next weekend, February 27, 2021 at Wilson Central High School (419 Wildcat Way, Lebanon, TN 37090). ALL wrestlers must participate in Regions in order to wrestle at the State Tournament. Only the top four Midgets, Juniors and Middle School wrestlers will advance to the State Tournament. All Tots and Bantams that participate in Regions will advance to the State Tournament. Whatever weight you wrestle at Regions, you must wrestle the SAME WEIGHT at State on 3/6/21. Please complete the google form by Monday, February 22, 2021 at 9:00 AM. We will register wrestlers at that time. Parents will be responsible for registering their wrestlers after the deadline. PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Middle School will practice Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30-7 PM for the next two weeks leading to the State Tournament. Crumbsnatchers will continue to practice on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 PM.

Registration for the Springfield Open will be opening this morning. Since it is capped at 400 we will register wrestlers today. Please complete the Google form by 2/6/21 at 5 PM. Event Schedule is as follows:
Tots & Junior: wrestling begins at 8:30 AM, weigh-in from 7-8 AM
Bantam & Midget: wrestling begins at 11:30 AM, weigh-in from 10-11 AM
Middle School: wrestling begins at 3 PM, weigh-in from 1:30-2:30 PM
*Wrestlers will be matched up for a round robin or bracket format and weight classes may be combined depending upon amount in weight class. Tournament cap of 400 wrestlers.

Admission: $6 adults, $3 students
COVID TOURNAMENT RULES
Masks are mandatory! Once your group has finished and received your medal please exit the facility in a timely manner. Temp checks will be taken upon entering the facility.

Region Tournament
The 2021 TNAAU Region 3 Championship will be held on 2/27/21 at Wilson Central High School. ALL wrestlers must wrestle at the Region Tournament if they wish to wrestle at the State Tournament. More information to come when it is available.

State Tournament
Mark your calendars, the 2021 TNAAU State Championship will be held on 3/6/21 at Farm Bureau Expo in Lebanon, TN. Only wrestlers that qualified at the Region Tournament will be allowed to participate.

Registration has opened for the 2020 Irish Open Tournament on Saturday, February 6, 2021. This tournament has a cap of 350 wrestlers. We will register wrestlers tomorrow, 1/31/21 at 9 AM to ensure wrestlers have a spot. Please complete the Google form if you would like your wrestler to attend. *Weigh in option: Notre Dame High School on Friday, February 4 from 6-7 PM or day of tournament (other satellite weigh ins will be announced the week of tournament.

Admission: $10 per person
COVID TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Everyone must wear a mask the entire time in the gym including wrestlers while not wrestling.
2. There will be limited bleacher seating. Recommend bringing your own chairs. There is a track above the gym that you can set up you own chairs.
3. Please social distance when setting up your chairs or sitting in bleachers.
