Hello Parents,
Yesterday, we were notified that one of the wrestlers tested positive for Covid-19. The wrestler and his family are currently in quarantine. NCW immediately went into protocols for contact tracing all wrestlers and family members that were involved directly and indirectly with this wrestler. We have spoken with wrestlers and parents that are a part of the contact tracing and ask for them to be quarantine over the next five (5) days. We also notified the proper staff to ensure all wrestlers are safe and the wrestling room be sanitized with proper equipment to eliminate the spread of Covid-19. We will stay in direct contact with all wrestlers and family members during this time to ensure there are no new positive cases of Covid-19. We will continue to follow all protocols set out by Father Ryan High School and CDC’s recommendations regarding Covid-19.
Due to our team traveling and participating in tournaments (past and present) , we have decided to be proactive and cancel wrestling practice for the upcoming weeks. We will resume wrestling practice starting the week of January 4, 2021 at 5:30pm.
