Nashville Catholic Wrestling

Our Nashville Catholic Wrestling (NCW) Middle School team begins its season this Sunday October 14 with an informational meeting for parents and practice at 4:30 pm in the Father Ryan Wrestling Room. No experience necessary and all boys 5th – 8th grade are encouraged to attend and give it a try. NCW coaches provide complete instruction and everyone makes the team. The official start date for the middle school wrestling team is Sunday, October 14. We will practice Sundays from 4:30-6:15 and Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00..

Until then, we will be holding twice a week practices for anyone interested. Starting Wednesday, August 29, and continuing on Mondays and Wednesdays until the season starts (excluding Labor Day), we will practice from 5:45-7:00 at Father Ryan.

The Chad Red wrestling camp has been moved from FRHS to Blackman HS (3956 Blaze Drive, Murfreesboro, TN) due to graduation.

Session times are as followed:
Saturday May 19 9am- 4pm
Sunday May 20 10am-12

A message from Coach Dunning. We will be hosting a clinic on Friday and Saturday (Apr 20-21) at Father Ryan and will be learning from current UTC assistant coach Ethan Reeve. He was an all American wrestler at the University of Tennessee, and a former head wrestling coach at UTC and the McCallie School. He was also the head strength coach at Wake Forest University for many years. We will be working in the weight room as well as the wrestling room.

Session 1: Friday 4/20 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm in the FR weight room
Session 2: Saturday 4/21 9:00 am – noon
Session 3: Saturday 4/21 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

He will be bringing former NCW wrestler and Father Ryan standout Ben Stacey to assist with the clinic. All age groups and skill levels are encouraged to attend and there is no cost.
