The hits just keep coming…

Because of severe weather concerns, Rutherford County Schools has decided to cancel all activities in any county school for Friday and Friday night. As of now the Region 3 tournament is still a go for Saturday, BUT we are going to be on a 3 hour delay due to the potential of more severe weather in Rutherford County. Satellite weigh-ins for tonight are still a go at Beech and at Wilson Central. The Oakland Middle early weigh in tonight is being moved to the main office of Lane Agri-Park on John Rice Blvd in Murfreesboro. Still same time (6-8pm). We recommend that you go to the satellite weigh-ins if at all possible to help things run smoother since we will be on a delay. We are in constant communication with the school system and working on other contingency plans as well in case of any full cancellation for Saturday. We will inform everyone quickly as we get information so we can all be on the same page and plans can be made.

So NO Oakland Middle School Weigh in. Only at Beech (5:00-6:30), Wilson Central and Lane AgriPark. 6-8pm.

Also 3 HOUR DELAY IN THE START TIME. Weigh-in in the morning would be from 9:30-10:30. wrestling around 11. Afternoon the same 3 hour delay.

Information for the tournament is below. If you need your son’s AAU card, you may look it up by going to https://aauwrestling.net. Then under membership, select “membership look-up/edit/reprint”. there you will be able to search and reprint your card that is needed for weigh ins. Good luck this weekend! GO NCW!!!

ALL wrestlers must show AAU card at weigh in time.
Weigh ins will be done in singlet with a one-pound allowance only.

Registration cost: $15.00 plus current AAU MEMBERSHIP is required.
Admission: $ 6.00 Adults $3.00 Student
Coaches entry: current AAU Membership card required to be on the floor coaching an athlete. 1 coach per 5 wrestlers not to exceed 8 coaches per club. Extra coaches band available for $10.00. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Only individuals with Coaches band will be permitted on mats.

In preparation for regionals, NCW middle school will practice Monday through Thursday from 5:30-7:00. Club members planning to wrestle in regionals are also invited.

The Middle School practice originally scheduled for Sunday, February 10 at 4:30 has been move to Sunday at 1:00. The Middle School will practice with the Varsity. The Club will practice at the normally scheduled time, 4:30 at Father Ryan.
