Saturday AAU tournament and info for the week
Sorry for all of the updates, there may be many this week. I now have info for Saturday’s tounament listed below. See other updates noted in bold.
Wednesday, January 21, all 5 – 8 grade middle school wrestlers will be at MBA at 4:30 to wrestle a match. Please email if you are unable to make it. I know some of you get out of school around that time, please come as soon as possible. There will be no middle school practice at FRHS this night, only Club practice.
Next Sunday, January 25, we have been invited back again for the 10th Annual Westside Catholic Invitational.
There will be no club or middle school practice this day. The Evansville match-up replaces practice.
I need to know as soon as possible if your child will be going. This is for the club and middle school team. St. Agnes Church (Westside Catholic), 1620 Glendale Avenue, Evansville, Indiana
There will be 3-6 matches per wrestler on 8 mats!
Concessions will be available, no coolers allowed inside.
Doors Open at 1:00 pm, Wrestlers check-in by 1:30, 2:00 Wrestling Begins. Expected end time- 5:00 pm
This is NCW’s 5th year to attend and it is a great opportunity for our boys to get mat experience. Evansville is about 2 1/2 hours from Nashville. We have carpooled in the past. If your son is interested, please let me know ASAP! I will also need to know if he will need a ride. Please sign up at practice tonight or email me at constancewesnofske@comcast.net.

Event Schedule is as follows:
Optional weigh in: Friday: 7pm – 8pm at Wilson Central High School
Saturday: Weigh-ins: All wrestlers must show AAU card at weigh in time.
AM Session Tots, Bantams and Juniors: Weigh-ins 6:30 – 8:00 AM Wrestle at 8:30AM
Midgets and MS/Schoolboy : Weigh-ins 12:00PM – 1:30PM Wrestle at Approx 2:00PM

Middle School/Schoolboy 2000/2001/2002 *no 9th graders
*Weigh-ins will be done in singlets with a one-pound allowance only.
Saturday, January 31 is listed for the Warehouse Open in Lebanon. Again, the event flyer is not posted yet but I will pass along as soon as I get it!
Sunday, February 1, at 1:30 at the FRHS wrestling room. Wrestlers grades K-6 will have an opportunity to wrestle against Southside. There will not be practice this day as it is Superbowl Sunday. Please let me or one of the coaches know at practice if you son is interested in wrestling this event.
Region Tournament will be February 21 and the State tournament is February 28.
Please only sign up for a tournament if you know for sure your child will be wrestling. NCW has to pay for all wrestlers regardless if they show up.
