Good Evening NCW Families,
Thank you to those that were able to attend our Parent Informational Meeting. It was great to see familiar and new faces.

Important items to remember:

NCW official Season starts on Monday October 18, 2021. Practices will be held on Monday and Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. This will be a combined practice with Father Ryan High School. We will have three levels, beginners, intermediate and advance.

Registration is now open! Registration will be completed online. The cost for the 2021-2022 season is $300.00. This fee includes Shirt, Short, and Singlet. Please submit payment via, check (made payable to NCW) or Venmo (@NashvilleCatholic-Wrestling). Please complete your registration ASAP so we can order our team gear by 10/18/2021. All forms need to be completed. COVID waiver, Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest forms need to be reviewed by BOTH parent and wrestler. If your wrestler is participating in their middle school wrestling season, we still need NCW registration completed by 10/18/2021. Gear will be ordered for those wrestlers registered, regardless of date they are able to start. GEAR
Gear Store is now open! The store will be open until 10/18/2021. You do not need to purchase the shirt, shorts, or singlet. This gear is included in your registration fee. All gear is extra and optional. Once the store closes on 10/18/2021 we will not be able to open it again. AAU/USAW Cards need to be purchased by wrestlers. AAU NCW club code is WYB33 (https://play.aausports.org/login/tabid/36231/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2f) and USA Wrestling NCW club code is 1341001 (https://www.teamusa.org/usa-wrestling). Links to both websites can also be found on the NCW homepage. Once you have purchased the cards, please send a copy to nashvillecatholicwrestling1@gmail.com.

Welcome back WrestleMania!!
The Father Ryan wrestling team is excited to announce the return of WrestleMania. This will be a four (4) day Monday through Thursday, introductory wrestling experience for the BEGINNER wrestler. We will be learning skills and emphasizing movement, body control, and fun. This program has a rich history of introducing the sport to future state champions. WrestleMania will be October 4-7, 2021, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Grades included in WrestleMania is K-8. Bring shorts and T-shirts. Participants will receive a complimentary Irish Wrestling T-shirt. Duals and Tournaments
We will have a list of Duals and Tournaments located on left side of the NCW Homepage and Calendar under the tab for 2021-2022 Middle School Schedule. For the TNAAU Tournaments, NCW is not guaranteed to participate or send coaches to all tournaments. We will send out a registration link at the beginning of the week for tournaments and if coaches will be attending. There will be a deadline for signing up and only those wrestlers that have replied will be registered by our deadline. After the deadline, parents are responsible for registration and fees.

Fund Raisers:
We will host a fundraiser night on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at 6:45pm in the Father Ryan wrestling room. We will discuss the fundraising activities for the 2021-2022 wrestling year with each wrestler and wrestling family. We have some cool activities and prizes. Come out and join us! Here are a few activities:

Cash Calendar Wrestlers will find sponsors for each of the calendar. Cash Calendar will run from October 1-18, 2021. Each day of the month represents the dollar amount the sponsor will donate. Sponsors can choose more than one date. For Example: October 5th = $5.00, October 23rd = $23.00, or choosing both =$28.00. The goal is to completely fill the whole calendar. Payments can be made via, cash, check (made payable to NCW) or Venmo (@NashvilleCatholic-Wrestling). If payment through Venmo, must include the wrestler’s name, days of sponsor in the transaction memo section. We will have four (4) drawings for the weekly prizes. Prize drawing will be on 10/18/2021.

Fill Week 2 10/8-10/14- $25 Amazon Gift Card
Fill Week 3 10/15-10/21 – $100 Visa Card
Fill Week 4 10/22-10/31- $200.00 Wrestling shoes of your choice

Pecan Fundraiser will run from October 18-November 1. All orders and payments must be turned in on November 1, 2021. We encourage every wrestler to sell 20 items. Payments can be made by cash, check (made out to: Nashville Catholic Wrestling), and Venmo (send to @NashvilleCatholic-Wrestling). If payment is made through Venmo please make sure your wrestler’s name is noted (example: Ethan Lampert pecan fundraiser). The overall prize for the most selling wrestler will be Beats Solo Headphones. If your wrestler needs a sales form, it can be found on the left side of the NCW homepage.

Car Wash—Car wash will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021. 9:00am to noon. The Location is TBD. However, Families can be working on posters to have for the day of the car wash.
