Any child who is attending any NCW practice session MUST have filled out and turned in a registration form and payment. A registration form can be downloaded from the main page of the website (under “Documents” near the middle right hand side). Assistance is available and if you need to seek financial assistance, please do so by emailing info@nashvillecatholicwrestling.com. You must request assistance for each session attending.
NCW Club – there is a tournament this Saturday at Independence High School. Deadline to register is tonight at practice. Sign up at practice or message Connie Wesnofske. Flyer is attached. Tots (2006/2007), Midgets (2002/2003) and Middle School (1997/1998/1999 – no 9th graders) weigh in at 7:00am and wrestle at 9:30. Bantams (2004/2005) and Juniors (2000/2001) weigh in at 12:00 and wrestle at 2:00. ONLY sign up if you definitely plan on wrestling on Saturday. NCW must pay for no-shows! If your child becomes ill on Saturday and is unable to wrestle, please message me so we may let the tournament director know.
Sunday, January 29, 2012 is the 2012 Westside Catholic Wrestling Invitational at St. Agnes Church in Evansville, IN. Evansville is about 2 hours and 45 minutes from Nashville. This is open to the club team as well as any middle school wrestler not attending the West Virginia Duals. We need to know this week who will be attending this tournament. We will need to be at the gym at 1:00 and we will be finished by 5:00. Each wrestler will get 3-6 matches – great experience! They need our roster as soon as possible as they will have all matches lined up before we arrive. Sign-up sheet will be at practice tonight as well.
NCW Middle School – the Grand Championship Dual tournament is this weekend at McGavock High School. The following weekend (January 26 – January 29) is the West Virginia Duals. Please log in to the website and look under the “Message Board” section to see the line-ups for these tournaments. The middle school season officially ends with these tournaments. If you want to transition to the club season please fill out another registration form. The cost is $75 for returning middle school wrestlers. Practices will be 2 days a week and will be posted soon (on Sunday and either Monday or Wednesday).
